Did the Warriors really need to sign Chris Webber??

...because I don't see that much improvement, actually I wonder how could he fit in Nelly's type of game (run and gun)

No, but it was better them get him than the Pistons. He'd actually help them. This way, Webber is off the market, but no one benefits from it.

Did the pistons even want him? Honestly, if you can't play defense you don't belong on that team.

EVERYBODY can use a little C-Webb. I mean those flat 18 foot jumpers..........man those are awesome. Just what they need a old slow bigman who can play defense to save his life, with a crappy jumpshot that he uses regularly.........but hey he can pass.

That is how I feel. I was all for the Warriors getting Webber, even as a Kings fan. I felt like there was more of a chance that Webber hurts the Warriors than makes them better. It is still early, I am not going to say I was right just yet.
Webber was a pretty good #1 option in his prime. He is nothing more than a 4th or 5th option now and worse than ever at defense. The main problem is that Chris doesn't know he is a 4th option, he still thinks he is good. Webber never learned how to be a role player.

Chris Webber would have been better with the Rockets, IMO. He knows Adelman and had the best years of his career with him. Best of all, he knows the offense better than anyone and he is the perfect predicate the Rockets need as a passer for a smooth offense.

He never learned how to be a role player because it kind of happened overnight. One day he was the star on the Kings, and the next day he was on a plane to Philly to play second wheel. And from there it only got worse.

If the Warriors had not picked up Webber, then the Lakers would of probably gotten him meaning no Gasol.

to be honest i think a lot of teams didnt want him.. they wanted room to use that for someone who might get bought out like sam cassell and previous damon stoudamire... and i dont blame them.. webber is so out of shape from not playing on top of his age.

Yeahp. That's why the Warriors have the best record in the Western Conference ever since the return of Stephen Jackson. Warriors suck they can't play defense they don't win games.

Of course they don't *need* him, but he def won't hurt em and will give em depth at the froncourt were they used 2 be paper thin depth-wise.
He shudn't be startin over Biedrins tho, that's kinda dumb
