basically walton disses shaq sunday but shaq responds. shaq says walton violated the big man code. which stats

the "Big Man Code"(rule number 225.27)
"no big man under should talk(negatively) about a big
man above".

Walton is the Madden of basketball, annoying as hell. What was with Shaq calling him Mr Walton.. why show Walton any respect when he (in Shaqs mind) has no respect for him?

I'm glad someone finally stepped up to Walton, I have no idea why that wacko has a job in the media really, he is just plain terrible.

Here is the way I see it:

Bill Walton is a one of the biggest Kobe Hater (not including some of the forum-members here )

SO by playing a negative card against Shaq, he is creating a motivation factor for Shaq and the Suns which could result in a huge boost for the team leading to beating the Lakers (even though Luke is on the team) and giving Bill another chance at putting Kobe down. Basically Reverse Psychology

But Walton does bring up some valid pts, Shaq was criticized for being overweight, not putting enough effort with the Lakers, then he got traded to Miami and he lost so much weight as if he looked like the Orlando Shaq again, then in Miami he was criticized by Pat Riley on similar matters. A Domino effect (although the domino effect has also played championships).

As much as I hate Walton, I think what he said is valid.
I am sure when everyone first heard the Suns trade they were wondering the same thing, why the well they would do that?!!
Shaq is injured, unfit, unmotivated and seemed to be on his last season in the NBA; then suddenly he can become a main contributor to a contender team? It remains to be seen.
I think Shaq needs to let his game to do the talking.
(Although what he said wasn't invalid neither!LMAO!!!!)

I hate Walton as much as the next guy, but I think what he is saying is that Shaqs claim of being motivated to win a championship now is an insult to his intelligence. Shaq on the other hand is talking about Walton being a hypocrat for only playing 2 years without an injury.
I don't think they are talking about the same argument.

Who was the one interviewing Shaq? My guess is Jon Barry.

Uhm I agree with Bill.... No one knew when Shaq would be available to play now all of the sudden he practiced (on sunday) and may be ready to play (on wednesday).... I dont see how Shaq draws on the correlation to Bill who was quite obviously LEGITIMATELY injured throughout his entire career and had several foot surgeries that kept him out.... Not a big toe injury and a bruised hip.......

But, I do think from now and the next couple seasons - Walton will be victorious in the end. That's in Walton's favor against Shaquille O'Neal.
