And actually wore it and promoted like a regular Nike shoe instead of releasing to show he's 'generous'.

On a serious note, Chinese low-paid workers who make little money for creating these shoes that get sold for $100+ will go really broke cause this $10 shoe will cost about $1 to make (even less).
I wouldn't pay $10 bucks for it unless it had some type of whistle technology, that when I was touched or something hit my foot an automatic whistle would go off.

I could be wrong, but I'd guess the vast majority of those shoes weren't made by "low-paid Chinese workers."

Wasn't there a number that came out last year in Time or Forbes that said 60% of the shoes made by Nike, Reebok, Adidas, and other major companies are made in China?
I could be wrong, but that's in my head at the moment....

Almost all of them are. I'd put money on 80% of them being made in sweatshops. Damn near everything is nowadays though. That's why this sweat-free thing is getting so big. I don't think anyone likes thinking about people working round the clock 7 days a week just to get a few bowls of rice and a place to sleep. No vacations, almost no days off. It's no way to live.
Granted it's nothing compared to what the people are experiencing in Darfur, but that's no excuse. Nobody should be denied the essentials of life.

That's real talk. One time someone said that they bought only Ford and Chevy cars because they were made in the USA. What people don't know is that they are mostly manufactured in Sweatshops in Mexico, Canada and parts of South America.

well here's how i view starbury:
chinese sweatshop laborers making $10 shoes or chinese sweatshop laborers making $60 shoes.
it's a sweatshop either way. duh. and BTW many shoes are made in southeast asian countries too, most notably vietnam
