Boston vs Detroit, best of 21.

Can the other 6 "playoff" teams have a NIT?

I don't get it why force the Celtics to lose to the Pistons 11 times in the playoffs instead of just 4?

No offense but I'd much rather watch a Bucks vs. Knicks 7 game series.

Considering LeBron has abused the Pistons and Celtics so far, (and don't forget how silly the Pistons looked last playoffs), he'd have no truck with that what so ever.

Detroit in 19

Seriously though I think Orlando deserves a playoff spot, and once they get healthy Cleveland too.

So how about a four team playoff.

Round 1 best of seven

Round 2 best of 13 or 15 :P

Aw, come on, at least let Orlando play Detroit in a one-game, winner-takes-all setting. Then the winner plays Boston in a 21-game series. That's more reasonable.

Funny that those 2 teams can't even beat LeBron.

Funny that they both have better records than the Cleveland LeBrons.

Better record doesn't mean that much. Home court advantage? Oh that reminds me Game 5@the Palace. Lovely night wasn't it?

It does when you have to do it back to back series like cavs will this year (back to back to back if they aren't careful). I believe the cavs could upset Detroit or Boston, but not both.

actually the cleveland/orlando mentions are funny because my suggestion in another thread was to cut out the first round of the playoffs, and just start with the semifinals.

Boston/Detroit/Cleveland/Orlando.

Make a playoff format tourney for lottery balls
The loser gets the first pick

Final Score: 6-4

I take Boston in 18

Anyway, I think best of 7 is perfect for a series. Already best of 9 would be kinda stale. Were are playing basketball, not darts or cricket.
