Maybe have it where you are not aloud to vote for someone one your own team.

Only the reserves usually, which the fans get no say in.

Still, having the fans vote is a bad idea. Then again, so was letting the media vote.

This is tough. I don't think I have an answer.
Imo, the media has greater coverage of the league but it certainly has some bias against certain players in the league. Meanwhile, coaches might be a little more objective but they don't see everything about the league.

That is still arbitrary. I mean, how do you know who's team production would drop off CONSIDERABLY if a said player never misses time to find out?
