Lets ay you are an NBA superstar. You are a free agent and you have 2 offers on the table. One is a 6yr max-deal from a terrible team( Like the 76ers) and another is a 3 yr deal at MLE. This deal is loaded with performance bonuses and is from a title contender(i.e. Boston, Phoenix). My question is, which deal do you take?

MLE with a good team. It's still a lot of money, and losing would get tiring/depressing after awhile.

Err, a superstar would make Philly a 5-6th playoff team in the East

And NBA Superstars (Peirce, Garnett, and Allen) don't take MLE's.

Agreed. I would take the max to play for a d-league team rather than playing for the MLE on a contender.

this question should be more specific. am i 30 years old or am i 24 years old? if im 30 and i already made a fat contract then MLE. if im 24 then the max. because if i am 24 and im a superstar i would be expecting that bad team to build around me. if im 30 and joning a winning team obviously they are using me to build around their superstar

max deal easily, not even a discussion unless I have already got some $$$ during my career and am 30 years old.
