Q:
With Kidd in the West now... he'll be replacing Iverson to start PG for the West All-Star team since he had more votes (correct?)
But with his addition, the West now has 13 players in the roster.
Who gets left out?

Nobody, most likely he gets to keep his spot in the East. I don't think anybody high up will object to that.

Kidd wouldn't make the ASG game if he was in the west all year. Baron, Manu, Parker are all better players and would have deserved it more. it's gonna be tough for whoever it is that gets booted.

Don't take anyone out, he did his damage in the East not the West. Let him sit it out, the other guys earned their spots and now you're gonna tell them they have to sit it out. No way, Kidd should sit.
As for the East replacement, I would say Ray Allen even over my boy Jose Calderon (I didn't forget about Hedo but it would just create a glut up front with him there and there wouldn't be enough guards). However, Ray Allen is another SG so Calderon may actually have a chance to back up Billups unless they put Joe Johnson at the point as a back-up. We'll have to wait and see what the Commish decides. Whoever it is will likely deserve it whether it be Calderon, Allen or Hedo.

Actually, I think they're just going to let him play for the East since technically he won't have played a game for the Mavs yet.

Kidd is an official, fan voted in 2008 all-star. You can't take that away, just because his team traded him. Kidd got traded from the Nets, not the Eastern Conference All-Stars.
My 2 choices
1) Extend West roster by 1: Add Kidd to west bench. Add 1 to East AS.
2) No change: Kidd plays in the East, as the current official roster
I pick #2. Why change, if no change is needed. Kidd's played more than 1/2 season in the East.

If he's on the Mavericks roster, he'll be an addition to the West's roster and he will be replaced on the East roster with a player of Stern's choice.

Uhh, Kidd doesn't get all-star this year. You can't just be traded and expect to take someone else's all-star spot. He won't replace a starter that's for sure, I doubt he will even get in the reserves. Maybe Stern will let him play in the East for the all-star game.

He will just play as a reserve on the West. Billups will end up starting in his spot in the East and Ray Allen will get the reserve spot.
