Where does he end up at the end of the deadline, and if you say New Jersey, by the beginning of next season?

Golden State, please!

Kelenna Azubuike
Brandan Wright
Patrick O'Bryant
Marco Belinelli
Austin Croshere
Mickael Pietrus
Matt Barnes
1st Round Draft Picks
10 Million Dollar Trade Exception

Or we could go for Ron Artest or Jermaine O'Neal.

Hopefully Chicago for Ben Gordon and Ben Wallace.

Acquiring Ben Wallace probably makes no sense since he would be the 5th best (possibly 6th) big man on the team... Then again I'm sure Frank would love his new and improved Jason Collins.

My sources* are telling me he could be headed to Indy for Jermaine O'Neal. If that falls through, I think he stays in the swamp.

I don't know we'd be stacked with big men and lack swing men .

Several other pieces would have to be incluced from both sides .

I wonder what our equivalent of Zo/Eric Williams/Aaron Williams/two poor 1sts would be...

Joey Graham = Eric Williams.
Rasho = Zo, I suppose, though Rasho has a more favourable contract and would report.
Maceo Baston = Aaron Williams?

There you have it: Toronto offers Graham/Baston/Rasho, plus our '08 first rounder (only one to account for asset depreciation) for Carter, to bring things full circle.

...wait, that only works for teams featuring Rob Babcock?

Is there any chance of Cleveland landing VC? VC would compliment LeBron very well in my opinion..

Cleveland would have difficulty giving up much value for Carter...trading Gooden leaves them weak at PF, and I can't see the Nets having much interest in Hughes, Snow, Marshall and Jones.

Hm, well, the Kidd trade being vetoed makes Vince being dealt less likely then I suppose. I just thought if Kidd was gone, Vince would be gone within days.

Orlando for expirings plz.

Next year:

Jameer
Carter
Rashard
Battie
Dwight

Hedo off the bench. That or play small still with Rashard at the 4.

You might very well be right, but Cleveland seems an unlikely destination given their lack of depth.

The much-rumoured Carter for O'Neal deal would be great for the Nets going forward (stick a scorer at SG, and they could be lethal), if Indy is willing. And I could imagine Carter in a Magic jersey, if Orlando sent back their 1st and perhaps Vasquez (FWIW, Arroyo/Dooling/Cook, plus Vasquez/1st for Carter/Armstrong works), or with any of several Western Conference teams.

If Thorn can extract value for Carter, and I don't doubt that possibility, as he is one of the better GMs in the league, the Nets could rebuild on the fly and be a formidable club next year.
