Manu is way underrated: should be an All-Star!

He's way underrated by NBA people (GMs, Coaches, etc) and fans... out of San Antonio he would be a franchise caliber player for many teams in this league (and a 1st offensive option like he usually was in Europe)!

C'mon, Roy and West to the All-Star Game and Manu not?!? Can't believe it... :noway:

I agree Manu deserves to go this year. it's a shame the west is so stacked with guards.

I thought he should have been a West reserve as well, but once I brought the subject up, even San Antonio fans said he didn't deserve it this year. So I backed off, but his recent explosion has me contemplating it again.

When he had that finger injury it clearly affected his game for a stretch which had alot of us doubting him, but now he's back to how he was at the start of this season, i've never seen him play better. He has really gotten better with age.

meh, I'd rather him rest then go through all the media events and play in the game. He's definitely AS-caliber though. No doubt that he belongs there.

Actually, Ginobili is overrated very often, and Roy > Ginobili this year. I don't see your argument.

I wish Tim Duncan was on my team to make all the players great as well.

He's a good player, but I find his herky jerky, whiplash style of playing to be irritating and boring. And since the ASG is all about entertainment, no go for Emmanuel.

Exactly. I really don't think anyone would be talking about Ginobili if he weren't on the Spurs. He managed to land with a team that has a superstar who makes his teammates better, and an incredibly boring team that fits his incredibly boring style of play.

Plus, the ASG is not about defense, so how would he find a way to flop?

Ginobili is sick period, i think what turns ppl off on him is that he is a) International player and b) he flops alot....this guy is a star, i wish he were on the raps...

Hmm... if you're referring to me, please explain how anything I stated in my posts was wrong. It's all true, get over it, be happy you have Duncan.

LOL clearly you have never watched Manu play a game in your life. Sure Duncan helps him but Manu has proven to be a number 1 option many times in his career. Was it Duncan that made Manu light up the cavs last night for 46 points? I don't think so.

Go sip some more haterade.

Doesn't change the fact that he is incredibly boring, a huge flopper, and is only successful because of his team. Yes, the fact that teams always double-team TD might play a bit of a reason why he has his occasional big games. And perhaps even the fact that he plays under one of the best coaches of all-time. And perhaps even the fact that he plays with a top 10 PG.

that is so far from being a fact. If anything, that is a personal opinion and one that would be hard to explain to a lot of people who think just the oposite of his style of play and find it highly entertaining to watch.

The rest does matter of course, but then again if you see games like yesterday it

I'm sorry, I just don't find a lot of flopping and a bunch of layups exciting.
