Nuggets interested in Z-BO?

Post#1 » by Phobo_Phile » Fri Feb 15, 2008 12:24 pm

"According to Marc Berman of the New York Post, the Knicks and Nuggets may be discussing a multi player deal involving Zach Randolph.

According to the report, the players discussed in a potential deal included Linas Kleiza, Eduardo Najera, Steven Hunter and J.R. Smith for Randolph and another Knick"

What the hell...there is no way this is beleivable. Z-Bo, K-Mart, and NENE on the same team. Not logical in anyway.

Makes no sense to me . . .not enough ball to go around in Denver if you add Z Bo.

Would only make sense if "the other Knick" was Balkman or Lee - cause it looks like Denver would have to give up two true hustle guys in Najera and Kleiza.

LOL @ JR Smith in NY though!

Iverson, Anthony and Randolph 'sharing' the ball won't be a pretty sight. Besides, don't they already have Nene and Kenyon Martin at the 4?

when I read the thread title I thought surely it would be for K-Mart or Nene

but :O I just couldn't imagine this going down, and if it were to somehow happen it surely, SURELY wouldn't work!

unless David Lee is coming to Denver I can't see this being true.

They're generally pretty conservative when it comes to trades. Even with the Iverson deal they didn't get crazy.

i know Kleiza is getting them a lot of calls, but if they wouldn't give him up for Artest, why would they for Zach Randolph and his monster contract?

Z-Bo with the Nuggets? George Karl and Randolph would be at each other's throats within a month. Great entertainment for the rest of us, but bad news for the Nuggets.

Camby and Zbo would be a ridiuclous offense-defense frontcourt. Maybe Karl doesn't think K-mart is good enough to start and Nene is sick right now with his tumor problem.

As an NBA fan this would be possible the worst trade the Nuggets could do.

As a Jazz fan I give it two big thumbs up.

Randolph would be the first time Denver has legit inside scoring since Nene lost all that weight last year. They were a totally different team when they had inside scoring.

Randolph brings zero defense and the Nuggets would have to give up Kleiza for him? Getting Randolph would just basically guarantee that they would make the playoffs in the tough west. that's about it.

Denver's franchise player is 23. You don't want to give away the whole team for a few decent shots when Melo isn't even in his prime yet.

I do not understand this rumour. Not only is Randolph an awful fit, but trading for another huge contract makes it even more difficult for the Nuggets to retain depth...post-trade, they would have:

Iverson, Melo, Nene, Camby, Martin and Randolph making a combined $85 million next season, with only Chucky Atkins and the unnamed Knick under contract.

Who starts at SF for the rest of the year!? Diawara? Or does Martin try? This has to be a case of a sportswriter playing around with the trade machine...

I could see Zach doing well in Denver.

The problem I see is contracts. I can't see Zach, Kenyon Martin, and Nene all on the same team especially with the health issues (Martin and Nene's).

This would be an awesome trade.

From a Jazz fan's perspective. I love it when teams destroy what depth they have to get a player who is overrated.

Couldn't agree more! A team with AI, Martin, Nene, Melo, Z-bo, Camby, would be in cap hell, and couldn't possibley work.

Git er done Denver!!!
