camby looks like is having an even better year. maybe dwight, until his coach put him on blast.

maybe kg - even though he doesn't block or rebound like those two, he has that way about him thats rubbed off on all his teammates.

Josh Smith will get a lot of votes for this based on his BPG and SPG #'s.

Not really sure he's an elite defender, but he'll be top 5 in votes for sure.

How about instead of just naming players we justify our picks

Most DPOY winners are centers or power forwards since they have the most defensive impact.

Camby or KG or Dwight Howard

i think devean george is a genius. jason kidd isn't going to make that team better, not if they loose their depth.

As a dedicated Magic homer, I must say that there is no way Dwight wins DPOY over Camby.

Camby should win.

Honorable mention to George for block of the year.

Josh Smith definitely deserves it. I'm surprised the OP didn't even mention him...

Camby, KG, Josh Smith.
Darkhorse-SJAX, his defensive +/- FG% is the highest of all the guys listed. But, since he's a guard, he probably won't win it.

Camby this year, Bynum for the future.
Thank you for all the memories BRoy. You were a class act and brought hope to an entire region for 5 years. You will be missed.
