Is Deron winning his rivalry against Chris Paul?

Post#1 » by BruceO » Sun Feb 17, 2008 2:18 am

I'm watching the skills challenge and Deron is bringing it. He I think is doing this more just cause he's playing against Chris Paul. Being from the same draft class, I remeber Deron wanted to play against Chris Paul pre draft to prove he's better. Chris didnt want to do it. Both have brought success to their teams but in the heads up I think Deron is like 7-1 against chris Pauls team. Do you think Deron has proven that he's a better player (outside of team needs) by beating Paul a huge amount of the time they face off, including this skills challenge? How much more does he need to keep owning Chris Paul before you can say ok maybe the kid has a point.

The skills challenge is just a fun game. Deron won, but it means nothing to the rivalry.

I look at wins. Every single time Deron has faced against Paul, Deron has owned him and won.

Playoffs. Deron in his first playoffs helped lead his team to the WCF. Paul has yet to be in the playoffs.

So yeah. Right now, Deron is winning the rivalry.

DERON WILLIAMS FTW!!!

Everyone can keep riding Chris Paul's junk along with the media, but when it comes right down to it, Deron has proved time and time again that HEAD TO HEAD, Chris Paul is his bitch! People will pull out stats and say this and that, but mark my words, Deron will have a longer and more productive CAREER than Chris Paul will ever hope to have. Book it!

Chris Paul owns Nash, Deron owned Chris, and Jamaal Tinsley beat out Deron, and Jamaal was out dueled by Damon Stoudemire.

Mighty Mouse= Top PG in the game hands down.

Deron just keeps winning these head to head matchups. Giving Paul fans a complex......

I wonder what Sloan would think of a Williams-Paul trade?

LOL, cuz it's always Paul fans who start these threads right? And I guess it's paul fans that invade the Jazz board also?

Based on Skills challenge?

lol...

Williams when he uses his size.. which he does... Paul is too small for Williams.. but doesnt mean he "owns" Paul... Paul will get his.. again its the team in the end... Jazz are built to beat Hornets...
