like a fine wine: players that get better with age

Post#1 » by Lost Angel » Sun Feb 17, 2008 7:37 pm

i was just thinking about how Steve Nash seemed to get "better" as he got older. Same with Derek Fisher.

both players are mentioned to have re-thought their training regimen and work on their "core balance." what is the "core balance?"

and are there any other players that come to mind?

I assume you came to this realization while playing NBA 2K8 and listening to Kenny Smith's commentary on Nash.

Everyone gets better with age..a 26 year old NBA is always better then he was when he was 18. Unless you got a case like Jay Williams.

MJ was certainly better at winning championships when he was in his 30s.

Someone must have uncorked Ben Wallace's bottle because he's starting to stink.

Yeah Bosh doesn't make sense.

That's like saying a player is better at age 24 than age 16.

Billups is another good option for this tho.

Bounced around the league for years in his early to mid 20's, now going to his third AS game in a row.

Chauncy Billups.
"Thibs called back and wanted more picks," said Jorge Sedano. "And Pat Riley, literally, I was told, called him a mother-bleeper and hung up the phone."

Kobe gets better every year, but it is Kobe so we must hate him because some poor, low class, white girl who needed money accused him of raping him even though he didn't. Here is a hint, go read the police transcript of their conversation with Kobe and see if you still think he is guilty.

Duncan gets better every year, but that is because he doesn't even try during the regular season because Pop is a genius.

Yao Ming gets better every year and i refuse to believe he is as young as he says.

I think Rasheed wallace becomes a better overal player every year even if his stats go down.

Sam Cassell too! Well, he's falling off now but he was playing his best from about 31-34.
