Good, does the Mavericks have any Center that plays good defense?

Definately a better deal this time around for Dallas.

I'm still don't agree with this trade from the Mavs perspective, since I don't think Kidd will be the best fit, but this is definately better then that crap that almost went through.

, with sources adding that the amount Van Horn receives this season -- believed to be more than $4 million -- will not be pro-rated even though Van Horn would be joining the Nets with less than half the season remaining.

dayyyuuuuuuuuuuuuum van horn.....

Cuban really wants to get this deal done. He absolutely hates paying Van Horn for free.

still a great deal for the Nets..if they can't trade Carter this season, they'll still have a playoff team in the East for the time being, until they can find a suitor in the off-season for rebuilding..

I can't imagine too many teams being dumb enough to trade for Carter right now, though.

He really isn't...

New Jersey would be the team that has to pay KVH.... Unless, of course, Cuban is still sending the 3 million for that reason....

Regardless, This rule needs to be changed

probably not right now..

for the off-season though, it depends on how he plays post-Kidd..he's still capable of being a great player when he wants to be, everyone can see that..it'll depend if he takes a bigger role and try and lead the team, or if he just continues with his lack of determination, maybe play with even less than his usual amount..

Signing KVH costs Cuban money from the luxury tax, not from directly paying his salary.

IMO this is still a crappy deal for Dallas, albeit not as bad as it was.
