He basically throws his teammates under the bus, saying their not good enough. If this were Shaq or Kobe, this would be getting WAY MORE buz, but why does Lebron get a free pass?

Shaming your organization is actually considered good leadership in the NBA.

Thats a Sam Smith article. He pretty clearly twists what LeBron saids to make it sound worse than it is. Those comments he made about the other team in the playoffs are about how his team is being disrespected not how he doesn't have help the way Smith frames. IMO that article is grounds for firing a writer.

He didnt disrespect any of his teammates.
The media is just itching to get LeBron to say something bad about Cleveland so they can start all their "LeBron to the Knicks" articles.
He was being sarcastic when he said that they werent very good. He was mocking the media, who always tries to downplay the Cavs achievements.

That is about the worst kind of misuse of someones words. During the interview LeBron never said his teammates were not good enough. He actually was pointing out that other people had been saying that. Most importantly he says that he'd like them to make a move "if" it made the team better.

Lebron is a fantastic leader and he simply said he wants the team to get better. I think Lebron is doing what any superstar would do. You have a shot to get better before the deadline and get some more help, you gotta go ahead and do it.

Good Lord Sam Smith is uninformed. In his article he says Anderson Varejao is among one of the players that comes up most often during trade talks.
Anderson Varejao can't be traded before the deadline

Because his team does suck outside of Z and Boobie.

What the hell is this? This has to be the most moronic article with the most moronic title I've read in some time...

Dude, have you even READ the article or you are just one of those 'tards from Raptors board who just hate on LeBron for no obvious reason these days?

LeBron is trying to pull a Kobe. What Kobe did in the summer time made the Lakers a contender this season, now LeBron is trying to do the same so he can get the Cavs front office to do something by the end of the trade deadline.

At least he realizes that that Cavs team last year did not deserve to be in the Finals.

um, he's just listing off all the things his detractors said about the last playoff run. not that he believes that himself.

The Cavs deserved to be in the Finals...they just werent good enough to win them.
That would be like if the Magic made it to the finals this year and got swept by S.A. Would the Magic not deserve to be in the Finals...yeah they would, since they won the East.
Of course the Magic have no chance of making it to the Finals anyway since the Cavs Pistons or Celtics will beat them.

How do you get what Kobe said: "I want to be traded"
From what LeBron said: "Everyone thinks we were lucky to win, but we'll show them"
They aren't even talking about the same thing. Kobe's talking about his team not being good enough and LeBron's saying his team is good enough and that once they get healthy they'll win the East again.

If you want change you have to complain. Pierce, KG, Kidd, Kobe, Shaq, Marion, Carter, Alonzo, T-Mac and others have all complained on some level about their situations and all have gotten what they wanted.
This is how it goes.
The Hoops Pimp Guide to How to Complain and Get What You Want in the NBA
1) First you say the team needs to get better.
2) Then you start to complain publicy about how the team is not good enough.
3) Then you say you do not want to be traded but just want the team to make improvements.
4) Then when asked if you want to be traded you deny it and say whatever happens happens I'm just going to keep playing.
5) If not traded at that point then you request a trade either in public or behind closed doors.
6) When approached about trade rumors you say you are happy where you are and want to stay but this is a business.
7) Next you are in a new uniform thanking the old team for how good they have been to you.
LeBron is still only on step 2 but looks like he is headed toward step 3.

Would I go to war with Lebron? No
Would I go with Kobe? Yes
Kobe just has something that says, I'm going to get it done for you and put you on my back. Lebron kind of gives me the image, "if you go to war with me i'll tell you a joke". Even though LeBron isnt as half as funny as he thinks he is.

Lebron is threatening to leave the Cavs? He wants to be traded?
Hey, it worked for Kobe and Pierce.

Of course Kobe has something, he's called Shaq. He won Kobe 3 titles.
