Best team for the next 5 years
Which team will consistantly be amongst, if not the, best team in the NBA for the next 5 years? For the past 5 years it's safe to say it was the Spurs. The 5 years before that it was the Lakers. So who do you think will be the next 'best team in the NBA' for the next 5 years?
Is there any doubt that it's going to be the Lakers?
Odom, Gasol and Bynum is the best front court in the NBA, and they are all young, versatile, dynamic and have different skill sets. Farmar has blossomed into one heck of a young PG and Kobe is, well, Kobe. The Lakers also have a very solid supporting cast in Fisher, Walton, Radman, Turiaf, Vujacic, Ariza and Mihm and they are coached by a HOF legend in Phil Jackson. I think I am being completely realistic when I say I expect NO LESS than 2 NBA Championships for the Lakers within the next 5 years.
Honorable mention goes to Boston, Utah and Portland.

Lakers. Portland.
Nobody jumps out in the East.
- Boston may not have a long shelf life. 5 years maybe.
- You never know when Detroit's going to run out of steam.
- Raptors and Magic aren't ready yet, but getting there.
- I don't trust Cleveland's management to put players next to LeBron.
- I have no idea what's going on with Chicago.

I completely forgot to mention the New Orleans Hornets. They definately deserve to be in this discussion as Paul is quite simply one of the best players in the league already in his third season. They also have a very good and young supporting cast and a very underrated all-star in David West.
