When we look back (Maverick Talk)
When we look back at Dirks career, who do you think will be viewed as the best pg he played with?

Kidd is like what 34 years old and when dirk played with nash he was late 20s early 30s....dirk has had the chance to play with two of the best point gaurds of the decade and on of the greatest of all time in kidd. too bad dirk couldnt deliver.

First off, Dirk has played as well--if not better--without Nash as he played with him. He made first team all NBA, he made the finals, and he won the MVP award without Nash. Secondly, since he has yet to play with Kidd you need to correct the tense of your last sentence. And Kidd may be an all time great, but he's not at the top of his game. He will not change much in Dallas.

Kidd will be a huge upgrade in Dallas, but they need size. Diop is an under-rated addition to the trade by the mavericks. They lost a very serviceable backup, a big body, and a shotblocker, they need some beef off the bench if they are gonna compete with the wests elite

As much as people like to rag on Dirk, their main problem the last two years has been the coach. They were out coached in 2006 and in 2007.

you're right, Avery Johnson just doesn't have the coaching genius to hide Dirk's lack of defense and meaningful rebounds.
Well good coaches do that. Otherwise known as getting the most out of your players. Last year he tried to change them in round 1 simply because they were playing a different style team. The year before he was close, but Riley out maneuvered him. Give him credit for shutting Shaq down but it left him open to an assault by Wade.
