We'll give him Sasha, Coby Karl, Ron Harper S&T, and a 2011 draft pick.

Yeah, Carter to the Knicks sure makes a lot of sense.

I think the story is BS.
What realistic scenario is there where a decent SG (please not Gordon, and Miller is a natural SF...) will replace VC as the starting 2 on the Nets. Nets will look young & then other players have to be added to make salaries match.
The Nets are front court heavy right now & the 2 spot back up is Maurice "who" Ager. Any talk of Marcus Williams / Devin Harris taking the 2 spot is ridiculous also. Maybe a Hassell type player can go 2 for brief stints but that's not a good scenario either.
I do think the Nets should evaluate this team in the off-season and if they stink as bad as they did the 1st half they have to start shopping VC around. By then hopefully his play would have picked up (usually a good 2nd half player) and his trade value therefore increased.
or best case scenario for Nets fans is the new team fits better than the old that clearly wasn't clicking on any regular basis.

He's not going to the Lakers, that's for sure. Kobe and Carter hate each other and they don't have the money to trade for him.

why would you say something like that.
do you have any common sense? that makes no sense, nets aren't contenders and Tmac for VC is virtually pointless, + hou wouldn't do it nor would NJ.
nets are gonna rebuild we aren't contenders. .... sigh at the stupidity on this board.

Maybe the Hornets can get involved?
Dont have time to trade check, but Bobby Jackson, Morris Petersen, Melvyn Ely or Hilton Armstrong and a future 1st could work financially, but of course the Nets could get more, hypothetically.

This story seriosly smells unless we make another trade i don't see Carter leaving at least not for more then 1 player . Our roster is full and the only ones we could drop are expirings and Hassel and Hassel isn't cheap .

I'm still a Vince Carter fan, always will be..probably the most pure talent in NBA history IMO..I try not to focus on that though, and that he didn't work on his game more like Michael and Kobe and the other greats..but I'd still like to see him have success..the Hornets are in San Antonio's division, but I like their team, and I wouldn't mind seeing VC on a good team like that..
I don't see a good team pulling off a trade for him with his contract and the way he has played this year though..more of a chance next year..

makes no sense to keep him. hell end up throwing another hissy fit if NJ decides to go into full rebuilding mode.

Another thing that bothers me why the f*** would Miami want Eddy Curry ?
To play next to Mark Blount ??? So they can both watch the opponets score in the paint at will ?????

Not to mention non of the two will grab a rebound .
GM's should have learned from the Knicks mistake , Eddy Curry is not a good Basketball Player , becauses he's only able to to exacly one thing and that's scoring in the paint .
Seriously NJ should keep Carter until the offseason maybe his value goes up a bit , i doubt it can get any lower .

With the move to Brooklyn in 2010 theres no full rebuild incoming , we're trying to be at least somekind of competetive .

We will reconstruct our team but don't go into rebuilding mode like Memphis .
We've got a lot of trade assets now several first rounders , expirings and trade exceptions .
