new orleans WILL win the title, book it

Post#1 » by thaAteam » Thu Feb 21, 2008 6:22 pm

I am convinced that not only do the hornets have the best starting five in the nba, but that they will reign supreme as the 2008 nba champions, the have the best point guard in the nba by far, they has a great compliment front line in chandler/west, they just stole mike james and bonzi wells from houston, they win on the road and they kill teams at home in front of their 8000 fans, this is their year

I have no doubts that the Hornets could win the championship, but I don't see them as a guaranteed team to win it all.

ok this thread is pointless, but a better topic would be

"who DOESN'T want to see New Orleans win a title"?

They better hope they don't face the Jazz in the playoffs if they want to win a championship.
"Thibs called back and wanted more picks," said Jorge Sedano. "And Pat Riley, literally, I was told, called him a mother-bleeper and hung up the phone."

??????????

Since you're confused, let me help you out.

The Lakers win was more recent and more impressive due to the fact they were coming off a back to back on the road.

Oh and not to mention, Gasol wasn't even on the team yet.

Hornets are a godd team but they have no bench. History has shown us that most championship teams usually fail in the playoffs first. Expecting the Hornets to come out of the West against the likes of SA, Phoenix, LA, Dallas and Utah is a tall order. I don't see it happening this season.

LMFAO, if they were in the East they might make the Finals, but there's no way in hell there gonna come out of the West. I definitely see them leveling out before the season concludes. and having to play an elite team such as SA, Dallas, Pheonix, LA in the first round, and getting their ass handed to them. Nobody on that team has ever done anything in the playoffs, and you think they're gonna win it all?

Ludicrous.

I wonder what will happen if they have to play the Warriors?

People seem to forget.
