Of course I'd argue that the Cavs were winners for unloading both Marshall and Hughes

I was going to take some time before i labeled the Cavs instant losers, only for the reason that Ben will make a bigger impact there than in Chicago since he runs with Z now and he's not the primary focus for all things down low...not to mention Z/Ben/AV/Smith = a very decent front line...but $$$ IDK, losers...still need to think on it...

Why would the Cavs be losers? They added a lot of talent around LeBron (or at least more than there was) and they should be able to at least make it all work.

How the Knicks didn't make a trade is beyond me..... it has almost been a fixture that they make a mid season trade every year...

Orlando lost for not making a deal to move a single expiring contract, they were in need of another rotational piece and they did nothing...and it wasnt even because there werent any deals...

Winners would have to be NO and Cleveland.

No losers. Chi can play faster...Gooden's contract is nice piece for a trade in the summer. And Seattle shed salary in preparation for their relocation.

Winners: Knick Fans, Isiah Thomas didn't make a stupid trade and we keep our pick.

it's hard to deal when people are hanging up on you...trying to package poison with every deal...

I know this is a bit to ask but can someone put together the before and after affects. As an outsider I really can't see the diffrence clearly for teams like HOU and CLE. I think West would be potentially CLE's starter and a perfect fit there as a streak shooter and a hustler on defense where I know CLE has been starting Hughes at PG then putting Boobie in the fourth for LeBron to take over.

For HOU I want to know if they are really expecting a lot from Gerald Green seeign as they moved Bonzi and Green wants minutes but isn't ready for them perhaps.

CHI's picture is a little more clearer. So is NO's good job NO. But if some HOU and CLE fans can do a before and after deadline deals of their roster and rotations I'd appreciate it.

Orlando is obviously the big loser. We were expected to make a deal, we had the ability to drastically improve the roster, and Otis Smith failed to deliver. From the beginning, he showed a general ineptness (or apathy), traveling and scouting college basketball less than 48 hours before the deadline. Now over $13,000,000 in expiring Magic contracts, in a year when a premium is placed on expiring contracts, has gone to complete and total waste.

How are the sonics losers? They did exactly what a rebuilding team is suppose to do. Dump salary, add expiring contracts and add draftpicks.

winners: raptors
they got brezec, a servicable center, yes. but this opens the door to trading rasho's expiring contract which should be a hot commodity as early as this summer.

losers: suns
too many holes to fill that they didn't and i probably sound like a homer saying this but they dropped the ball by not acquiring quinton ross. it's going to be painful watching grant hill try to guard kobe in a 7 game series.
