Player on a sucky teams in the league deserves better?

Post#1 » by ljp24 » Fri Feb 22, 2008 4:35 am

Heat
T-Wolves
Knicks
Sonics
Memphis

The worst teams in the League currently 1 to 5.

I'd say D-Wade. I feel bad for him to go on the bench at the end of a close-but-not-close-enough game.

Then Al Jefferson or Rudy Gay.

hard to feel bad for a guy who landed a ring after only being in the league for 3 seasons, amazingly...

David Lee

Al Jefferson doesn't deserve better, his stats wouldn't be as good on any other team.

Josh Smith. I can only imagine him on a great team where he could just focus on playing defense, making plays, and picking up the easy buckets. He wouldn't have to force things on offense. He would be an absolute monster with Phoenix of Golden State.

That said, I hope he's a Hawk for as long as he can play.

In all fairness though, Boston was one of the worst teams in the league last season. I agree with you though, he's very capable. He'd be a top option on a lot of teams in this league.

Houston only picked Gay because Memphis wanted him.

Why feel sorry for Wade? As a superstar player aren't you supposed to will those around you to play better?

Jefferson is a solid player and I like his game and attitude. But he needs another superstar type player to share some of the load. I'd wish him luck on getting that, but the last thing the Northwest division needs is a more high lottery pick talent.

Wade is too "unselfish" to will some wins for his sucky teammates. He'd rather pass to those teammates than to carry them to some wins.

what he is he supposed to do? Pass more? 7 assists per game isn't good enough. Should he score more? 25 points not enough? When he has Blount and old jwill in his starting lineup i think you could at least give him some slack. Jeeze, just an example of the suckiness of the heat roster is Earl barron gets a fair chunk of mins.

Will his teammates to play better? Yeah that only works when the GM is in on the plot too....Riley seems to be going the opposite way.

If you're a star/superstar and your team is playing for a top 5 lottery pick then maybe your star/superstar status needs to be revoked.

Wade has another All-Star in Marion on the team and his team just lost 10 in a row for the 2nd straight time. This is disgraceful. He either needs to average 40+ points for the next 10 games or the ball needs to be in Marion's hands instead of his.
