Where's Danny Fortson?

He's only 31 years old, the best combination of free throw shooter/rebounder of all time. 2004-2005 he shot 88% from the stripe and led the NBA in free throws per 48 minutes. Does anyone else miss Danny Fortson?

The NBA doesn't allow Samurai Warriors to play anymore. It was part of the new CBA. Duh.

He looks like T-Pain.

Thats crazy cuz I was wondering the same thing yesterday. He's a physical presence in the paint but I think his attitude and his inability to stay in shape has kept teams from picking him up.

Joe D should scoop him up for some inside presence come playoff time. Hes one of those players you hate but you'd welcome on your team

Danny Fortson was just a rebounding blob. 6'8 and fat, but he could grab rebounds pretty well. For the Warriors he avg. 16 points and 16 rebounds for 20 games before he got hurt. He is a solid off the bench guy

seems like every week someone on the Magic board is calling for this guy's services...and, I wouldn't mind him...I have no idea where he's at though...

Don't worry when his contract is up Isiah will give him the full MLE so that he can have the new twin towers by pairing Fortson with Jerome James.

I disliked him sometimes, but I do miss him. He's a tough, good role-playing energy big man. I think his injuries the last 1 or 2 years and being out of shape, he just probably decided to not play anymore.

If he would be in shape, a whole bunch of teams could really use him.

I always liked this guy. It's a shame he's not in the league any longer.

He sucked. He was a dirty player, committed tons of flagrant fouls, and had a reasonable knack for flopping at times too.

He definitely could find a spot in the NBA right now in the West. With the bigs out there, teams need bigs.

A team like the Hornets could use him.

Apparently, at the end of his tenure in the Sonics everyone in the franchise was fed up with Fortson's attitude - quite similarly to the rest of the league.

I think he also led the league in free throws for the other team.
