Wallace suffered a concussion, was knocked out for 15 minutes, was carried off on a stretcher, and will be out for two weeks. To add insult to injury, the foul was called on Wallace.

Yea that foul call was rediculous. Wallace didn't even touch Moore until moore clocked him with his elbow.
I hear this is Wallace's 4th concussion. That's pretty damn serious.

Obviously you don't know about the art of flopping.
Look at the 0:35 mark of that video. After Mikki Moore gets the ball stolen from him, he waves his arms in the air as a last resort in hope to get some sort of call. It worked.

My bad, Moore didn't shoot free throws, but the foul was called on Gerald.

Another example of terrific work by the refs.

Karl Malone knocked David Robinson out about 7-8 years ago with a brutal elbow and the same thing happened, an unconscious man on the court was assessed the foul.

Hey, if you don't want the foul called on you, keep your nuts out of the way!
But, seriously, far too much advantage is given to the offensive player IMHO.

Damn, get well soon Wallace, that looked pretty painful. And its just a classic example of refs calling assumed fouls rather then fouls they actual see.

well I just finished reading a local german newspaper. they had a bigger article about Dirk but in the last paragraph they mentioned something about the Wallace/Moore incident. they really wrote that Wallace ran into Moore's elbow. it really must have been a foul by Wallace's face now.

^^^ LOL
Where the hell did they get that from? The thing I don't get is that Wallace was litterally standing still. He wasn't moving.

I'm not sure but since that newspaper isn't a serious one and I bet they don't watch ANY basketball games at all and just take a look at the play-by-play or something, see that Moore was officially fouled and wrote that Wallace fouled Moore

Is anyone actually surprised. The NBA officiating consistently shows itself to be nothing more than a joke. A league that blatantly admits to 'earning' foul calls by having to spend weeks, even an entire season getting fouled with no call before you will get benefit calls.
Flopping in considered good 'defense'. If you get shot with a 50-caliber bullet in the chest you don't go flying backwards, yet a 180 pound driving guard can make a 240 PF drop like a sack of potatoes.
Unfortunately we really (and I am actually serious here) have to blame the fans. Not the hardcore fans who like the game of basketball, but the casual ones who like to pay attention during the all-star game, playoffs, and the odd special matchups (like the Christmas games). To them 'good basketball' = 117-108 finishes. A game that ends 86-81 is clearly awful because there wasn't scoring. It doesn't matter if it was a game of spectacular defense, the round thing didn't go through the net and therefore it was bad. So the NBA has these stupid foul criteria and the officials aren't all that good and so you get awful calls on a frequent basis.
