I don't understand why Miami is so bad

Someone needs to explain this to me. They've got Wade (even if he's not 100%), Haslem (a pretty good big man), Marion (a guy that people have actually argued was a top 10 player), Jason Williams, Dorrell Wright, Ricky Davis and Mark Blount. Not a true scrub in the bunch. So why can they not beat anyone?

Two words: Jason Williams. Riley puts him back in the game when he wants to finish off the tank job.

And with the first pick in the 2008 NBA draft, the Miami Heat select...

Miami is so bad because Jordan and Pippen 2.0 just aren't as good as they were hyped up to be. Don't get me wrong Fade and Marion are still GREAT players but now we're really seeing what they're made of, and quite frankly it isn't pretty. Especially in Wade's case, you can blame injury if you want but if you're going to put 100% of the blame on that one reason you're just plain crazy. Or a Wade lover.

pretty accurate. Haslem played his first game last night since the Marion trade, they have zero point guard play, I'd say Blount, Williams, and Davis are all one dimensional scorers and it's hard to play team ball or defense with three of them in the lineup, their bench has been awful consisting of a bunch of young marginally talented players.

do Miami fans want Beasley or Rose in the draft? they NEED a point guard IMO and with the addition of Marion they have that forward spot locked up. hopefully next year they can turn it around. Wade should just stop playing until he is truly 100% healthy cuz they are going nowhere.

As a Cavs fan I do understand how much poor PG play can cause a seemingly decent team to be unable to win but with Williams and to a lesser extent Wade I expected Miami to at least be getting reasonable PG play. I really haven't seen them play but you guys seems to be saying that they've really not been playing well at all in that respect.

By the way, I really am not trying to bash the team just to understand what type of dynamic is going on.

aside from Wade, Marion and Haslem, I don't think any player deserves to be called "good". Davis has talent but has his own interests ahead of anything else, and the rest of the roster is just plain below average.
