What is Lamar Odom worth?

Financially what is LO worth per season? For the season he is averaging 14 points and 10 rebounds, but keep in mind beginning of the season he was coming off the shoulder surgery and missed 5 months of basketball. So he wasn't 100% that 1st month of the season.

He has been averaging 20 points, 12 rebounds on 60% shooting the last 3 games and 15 points and 13 rebounds on 60% shooting over the last 10 games.

Lamar's problem has been everytime he starts to peak he gets injured. Last season he was averaging 18 points and 11 boards to start the season, but then injured his knee, then Tore the labrum in the shoulder again. Over the last 2 seasons in the playoffs he has been a monster averaging 20 and 11 in 2005/2006 and 19 and 13 last year.

Looking at what other players get paid, 10 million minimum.

15 points and 13 rebounds on 60% shooting

Isnt Jason Kidd making 20 million. He isnt playing close to this level right now

I expect his stats go down, when Bynum comes back IMO...

well, obviously kidd is overpaid. why even bring him up? you think odom deserves 20 mil?

10 mil sounds about right.

also, don't use this 60% stuff. what has it been? 8-9 games? its as silly as people using the first half of this season to bring his value down when we had an entire career to look at.

His numbers are pretty inflated right now.

It would be (Please Use More Appropriate Word) to expect Odom to average 20/12 on 60% shooting over 3-4 years.

With his current role on the Lakers, i'd say about 9mill a year.

He's been great as a third option because that's what he is. He'll be the first one to admit that scoring is not his primary concern. It's was very unfair for people to criticize him for not scoring 20ppg.

However, he will be strong on the boards, facilitate your offense, play decent defense, and create certain matchup problems. He's doing all those things now that Gasol is on the team; we'll see how his role changes when Bynum gets back. 10mil/year.

Here are some players making about equal or more then Lamar and i wouldn''t take any of them over Lamar for this Laker team.

Peja - He can't play PF the way LO is right now. He sure can't drop 15 and 13 on 60% shooting

Kirilenko - A lot of hype, but Lamar is playing much better then AK47 right now. He's also a much better playoff player then Kirilenko. I dont see AK47 dropping 15 and 13 on 60% shooting.

Kenyon Martin - Way overpaid

Rashard Lewis - I dont see him dropping 15 and 13 on 60% shooting. He's basically a shooter and thats it.

Jason Richardson - What impact has be brought to the Bobcats besides just putting up decent stats. They are any better then last season. LO''s 15 and 13 has more impact

Mike Bibby - Way overpaid

Michael Redd - I wouldn't take him over Lamar either for this Laker team. Redd is a streak shooter who looks great when he's hot,but what about when that jumper is not falling. What else is he bringing to the table? Is he giving me 12 to 15 boards. Nope

Zack Randolph - The classic stat guy for bad teams.

Stephon Marbury - Way Overpaid

Vince Carter - Way Overpaid. Low percentage gunner who takes low percentage shots

Jason Kidd- Liability on the offensve end. He is one of the best point guards of all time, but for this Laker team,he would make the team worse if you subtracted LO and added Kidd. He can't shoot in a halfcourt set and is basically no threat on offense.

Jermaine Oneal - Always injured. Low percentage jump shooting PF

For this Laker team. Because LO has the ability to play PF and SF i wouldnt take any of the players above over him.

how much do you think he's worth?

Vince Carter - 15 million

Zack Randolph - 14 million

Stephon Marbury - 21 million

Kirilenko - 15 million

Rashard Lewis - 17 million

Michael Redd - 15 million

Jermaine Oneal - 21 million

Mike Bibby - 14 million

Peja - 13 million

Kenyon Martin - 17 million

If you got Lamar for just 10 million that would be a steal and in my opinion he would be underpaid compared to the players above

Odom is the most overrated player in the NBA..

I agree 15 points and 13 boards is overated

Name multiple players making 13 million and below putting up these numbers?

Get it through your head.

his numbers are inflated right now

Do you really expect him to average 15ppg and 13rpg over a span of 3-4 years?

How much do you think Odom is worth as the role he has on the Lakers right now?

He putting up 13/10 on the season. Solid numbers, but he's a 3rd or 4th option. And he isn't effective at SF.

B-Scott out of the players you've listed I believe only 3 of them have been signed since the last collective barganing agreement. Those 3 (Lewis, Peja, Carter) are all a little overpaid.

Odom's a solid fringe all-star level player, so I'd say he's worth 10 million a year.
