nothing new here, but what do y'all think about the consequences this will have for Cleveland/NJ, if any, in the future?..

Unless the Cavs are a championship team, Lebron will leave once his contract is up. It is really inevitable because Lebron wants to become an icon and one of the richest sports stars ever.
It has to be either New York or Los Angeles and since LA has one of the biggest sports stars in the world already, Lebron will go to NY.
I guarantee that Lebron will leave Cleveland.
But the most important thing for Lebron is: Rings. Without rings, he'll never be in the same class as Ali, Tiger Woods, MJ, etc.

Not every major superstar has to play in New York or LA..believe it or not, there's always the possibility that he may stay / end up somewhere ELSE...I know

Not when theres a clause in his Nike contract that says he gets way more money if he plays in one of those cities.

A clause which does not exist, because it would void his NBA deal--players are not allowed to have locational contingencies or similar things in their endorsement deals. If that clause is found to indeed exist, Lebron would be responsible for paying the Cavaliers the difference.
And people--it's over 3 years away. Don't you have anything more interesting to contribute than worrying about where a guy that 80% of you apparently hate winds up playing?

so threads about Lebron/Jay-Z's friendship, while Jigga is the owner of A DIFFERENT NBA franchise is pointless? on a forum where there is a thread every time Kobe takes a ****?..I enjoy having threads that don't involve the Lakers/East sucks every once in a while, sorry..

i dont think they are pointless, but its 2 1/2 half years away. a lot can and probably will between now and that time. this yahoo article will be a lot more perinent in febraury of 2010 rather than february of 2008. right now it just seems like wojahowski is just rehashing the same story over and over again just to write something on a slow news day

Not that I think LeBron will end up in Brooklyn or anything, but it would be pretty sweet to see him in a Nets jersey...
Can anyone make a photoshop of it?

I don't blame him. Some of these Lakers homers have given other teams' fans plenty of reasons to be annoyed.
