Lebron is going to past 10,000 career points in three days

Post#1 » by ljp24 » Wed Feb 27, 2008 12:42 pm

The Bucks honored Redd before the game for scoring his 10,000th career point against Denver on Saturday. But he's about to be one-upped by James, who came into Tuesday night's game needing 54 points to reach 10,000 for his career - a feat that, at age 23, would make him the youngest player in NBA history to score 10,000

Of course, the youngest is Kobe at 24 years, 193 days old. I think Lebron is something like 23, 73 days old or something? He has a real shot at getting into the 30,000s and getting Kareem.

I'm a Kobe fan, but you have to appearaciate talent when you see one.

He is also 84 assists away of 10,000 points/2,500 rebounds/2,500 assists.

Crazy.

He needs 19 points for 10k as he scored 35 versus the Bucks.

No doubt about it. Will be interesting to see if he'll have a healthy enough career to get close to Malone and Jabbar when it's all said and done.

Who cares who is the youngest to whatever milestone, that's a dumb stat. The real stat is who does it in the less amount of games because everyone comes into the league at different ages and now no one is allowed to enter out of high school anymore so know one will break James' records.
Congrats anyways to the phenom LBJ.

Then how come Kobe didnt do it...how come Garnett didnt do it...how come Dwight Howard isnt going to do it...how come Moses Malone didnt do it...how come Amare didnt do it...

Why did none of these star players, nor any of the many other high school to pro players, not get to 10,000 points at a younger age than LeBron.

You guys make it seem like LeBron was the first player to ever come straight out of high school. If somebody could have scored 10,000 points faster than LeBron, somebody would have.

It is a dumb stat but seems we are stuck with it. No seems to care about the number of games. It's likely that Lebron will set all kinds of these records and will likely hold it a long time with the new high schooler rules.
