i watched kevin durant play against the warriors last night. and he looks amazing. he beat baron off the dribble couple times and he did it once to monta. he's long and quick. he's improving quickly and even though hawks are gonna make it to the playoffs. it's a no brainer that durant wins.

Durant's gonna win it. He hasn't been very impressive but neither has anyone else.

Well, Carl Landry leads all Rookies with a PER over 23...but Durant will win it. Frankly, he's got so much hype, deserved or not, I can't see him not winning it. His only competition was Oden, and that cleared itself in the offseason nicely for him.

I think it would be better for Durant in the long run if he doesn't win it.

Durant should win it. Scola is the best rookie though. If Scola was on the Sonics, he'd probably average 20 a game also.

Scola isn't in contention..but he could be at the end if he steps his game up in Yao's absence, and the Rox make the playoffs..
this rookie class looks pretty poor right now..doesn't mean they will be in the future, but they do as of now..

ROY was already decided at the beginning of the season when oden was sidelined.....
durant will get it... simply because he's the #1 option for a lottery team

Horford

I'm a big fan of Al Horford though..I don't watch too many Hawks games, because they are the Hawks, but I caught the Spurs game last week, and Horford was a monster on the boards and looked good defensively..his offensive game is still raw, but that's obviously expected..

Horford. Durant's been far too inconsistent to beat Horford to the award.

love your avy... so rare when some Euro just hugs you after a throwdown.
Only problem I have with Horford is that he doesnt even average double digits in scoring . The league has always been about scoring. If Horford was closer to 15 and 10 hed be a lock. Right now hes barely a 10-10 guy. He probably could do more on a team with less talent but right now is all that matters. You cant hand out a ROY based on what someone might do.

I think DJ Strawberry should as much as Scola be on that list..
However I think Horford will win it

Durant though with Yao out Scola's chances are definitly a lot higher.

Realistically it's obviously going to be between Horford and Durant. If the criteria for MVP is the best person on the best team. Then shouldn't the ROY be the best rookie on the better team? For that reason, I think horford should be ROY. You can already tell he's going to be a beast.

Well he plays a big role for a playoff team. But Yi's numbers are better than his by a slight margain. I choose Horford for the ROY.

Horford. He is a starter for a team in the playoff hunt and he is a double-double threat every night and honestly looks like a vet player at times.
Durant is good, but how does he deserve it? Just because he scores a ton of points?
