what is in the water in indiana?

Post#1 » by thaAteam » Thu Feb 28, 2008 6:54 am

The players on the pacers are terrible, ron artest, stephen jackson, shawne williams, jamal tinsley have all had legal problems while being pacers, marquis daniels was a mav for three years with no altercations, goes to the pacers and falls right in line, i think david stern should be more worried about their situation then the struggling knicks

When I think of Indiana I think of old fashioned country basketball. Shooting in back of the barn house ala Larry Bird.

They just have never been able to recover from Mt. Artest

He had several smaller eruptions, but the one in Detroit was of epic proportions. Not only that, but it was Reggie Miller(the best player in their franchise history) last season and a legit contender to reach the NBA Finals. That's enough to kill a franchise.

They officially pushed Portland aside years ago as the new troubled team and just like Portland, I think they will recover eventually.

Tinsley has been a knucklehead from day one, a 3rd rate Stephon Marbury if you will, and I'm surprised they just haven't bit the bullet and bought out his worthless ass.

David Harrison and Shawne Williams are a pair of potheads. They have talent, but who knows if they'll ever get it. I really don't know what happened to Marquis Daniels.

Jermaine O'Neal is their most important piece yet is fragile and honestly, needs a change of scenery.

Greg Oden
Eric Gordon
Rodney Carney
Mike Conley
Josh McRoberts
Jared Jeffries
Zach Randolph

None of them played on farms....That gay ass "hoosiers" slow white boy era is long gone homie.

As far as the Pacers go, they are just about dead. Until the Simons decide to get rid of Bird and Walsh and get some new blood in the front office then nothing will change. The roster needs a complete overhaul with a few exeptions (Dunleavy, Granger) everything else is pretty much trash. Bird still seems to think that fighting for an 8th seed and getting swept in the playoffs means something. Sometimes you just have to fall to the bottom before you can get back up again. Untill Bird's dumbass realizes this and stops the patchwork and lets the ship sink..the Pacers will be stuck where they are.

Bird is trying to clean the place up right now.

I mean when Reggie left the characters on that team just showed themselves...

Harrison is such a pothead, they should probably get rid of him

Until they fully rebuild like the Blazers have you're going to continue to see problems with the players there.

It just seems like there's a bad locker room environment and the sum of the whole is greater than the parts... Only in this case I mean that in a bad way...

Basically there's a culture of stupidity in Indiana right now, and a clean house is needed IMHO we're not going to see that soon though and as a result the Indiana FO is part of what needs to be changed.

As a Pacer fan, I agree completely.

What's in the water in indiana?

With the way some of the players go out there and act like bufoons, moonshine, i'd reckon!
