Longest losing streaks

I think the Bobcats could realistically "lose out" without Wallace and Richardson for a while. They have most of their games left on the road, multiple west coast trips, and can't seem to beat any east teams either. They've lost 11 of 12, with that lone win a fluke against Memphis.
Whats the longest losing streak in a season? And has a team ever started 18-26 and finished 19-63? LOL

Classic
The record for most losses in a row in a season is 23 held by the 1996 Grizzlies and 1998 Nuggets.
Sixers lost the last 19 in 1982 and the first 5 in the next season (24 total), which is the longest losing streak ever.

Clippers had TWO 12-year-streaks in which they failed to reach .500.

Quite possibly the most pitiful thing I've ever read.
