Who is this kid? How good is he? I've heard of him before but never watched him till tonight. Someone give me a briefing on him.

Hard worker with a great midrange shot. He is a little short for the power forward spot, but makes up for it in strength and quickness. I really like the guy and think hes going to be a very good player.

tough bench player. he comes off the bench and gives you energy, physical defense, he's strong and athletic, not going to blow you away with his skill but he's tough, finishes strong, and as an added bonus has a decent enough mid range jumpshot. all in all he's a solid bench guy.

He's a good player. I watched him play in the summer league. Previously owned by the Hornets, but he never got any playing time. He reminds me of someone like Jason Maxiell but with the post up game.

I'd say he's better than Turiaf because he's stronger. He has excellent post moves though.

Bass is a capable young player, explosively athletic, tough, quick, strong, on both ends. He played impressively well tonight.
I'm happy for him, considering how he came up, from not playing in New Orleans for 2 years, to the Mavs SL team, to the Mavs training camp, to their roster, to the rotation. I was rooting for him to get a spot somewhere - and got it with the Dallas Mavericks. Caught my eye from seeing him play a few times in New Orleans, when he did play.
Another latter draft pick, undersized, but solid complementary big man. Adds a dimension up front Dallas hasn't had, and probably Dirk's best back-up PF in awhile.

Bass is a great bench player, avg at best starter. Maxiel is the better shot blocker and a better power dunker, but Bass has a much better jumper. Bass is also a good free trow shooter and can get to the line often.
The major downfall I have with him (I'm a mav fan) is that he can get tunnel vision at times and still try to dunk when he should dribble around or pass out. Many of his shots are blocked, stripped or a foul is called.

The Mavs' new Warriors killer.

A workhorse-type hustle guy who has a J and decent post moves. Not good enough for a starter (yet) and could use 1 or 2 more inches, but a great guy to have on your bench.
