You guys are overreacting, though that should have been a flagarant 1.

Oh wow, when I first saw the title of the thread I thought it was about his hit on Fischer at Sunday's game. But that was far worst and definitely deserves a suspension.

Easily. Talk about a unnatural basketball act.

No intent to injure, was trying to go for the ball, and awkward body physics caused the painful fall.
I wouldn't necessarily assess it as a flagrant foul.

(and no, I don't like Dirk and am not a Mavs fan)

don't think dirk is dirty. i think dirk just slipped and grabbed AK. i just hope AK is okay. i think he's fine since he hit those two FT afterwards.

If Horford gets suspended for the TJ Ford play then Dirk should get suspended for that.

I wouldn't give him a game, but I have no problem with the NBA if they do. He wasn't trying to hurt anyone, but it was surely a flagrant.

He should be suspsended. When he reached down to "try to get the ball" he got part of AK. Any idiot should be able to realize that they got part of the man and not the ball, so there is no doubt in my mind that Dirk knew for that split second he hit AK. Right there, he should have realized he was holding AK (rather than the ball), and shouldn't have pulled down on him.

EDIT: But just fwiw, I wouldn't suspend him, but like Corona said, based on the NBA's standards now it should be a suspension. Back in my years as a wee little kid, I would cheer when Charles Oakley gave hard fouls with the Knicks, but after seeing what people get suspended for nowadays, it's only fair to suspend Dirk.
