I think Rafer Alston can't abuse Jason Kidd.

Kidd has something to do with the assists, but a lot of it has to do with his teammates. He held Deron to 41% shooting, 20% from three and only two FTs.

Do you think this is the MLB? East teams face plenty of West teams.

Well on the bright side, he did shoot the ball a lot better and turned the ball over less
Ok, Deron took a **** on him and the Mavs.

Woah, the Mavs are almost out of the playoffs. It would be hilarious if the Mavs missed the playoffs since Kidd wanted to play for a "contender."

Denver and the Suns are too bad to finish before the Mavs right now.

Getting abused by point guards?
Aside from Chris Paul, who?
I don't think you get the concept of assists..
Deron played a great game, but what has his 20 assists have anything to do with his Kidd?

What a meaningless post. The OP was pointing out that JKidd no longer has the luxury of dealing with mediocre PGs. He is in the west, where a PG like DERON WILLIAMS gets left off the All-Star team. Yes, the same Deron Williams that dropped 19 dimes on Saturday and topped it off with 20 dimes against none other than Kidd himself....

Maybe cause he couldn't keep Deron in front of him if his life depended on it.

I would challenge anyone to find a PG that outplays Deron more than he outplays them... I am pretty sure no one like that exists...

Since the East never plays the West.

I heard that Kidd is still demanding to be traded to a contending team.

Jazz fans attacking me thinking I brushed away Deron's great game? Why are you attacking me? I just said Deron had a great game, maybe you misunderstood my post.
Deron had 20 assists because he set his teammates perfectly, and they delivered. It was not Kidd's fault Deron had 20 assists. That means the other Dallas players did not defend well, or Deron set his teammates perfectly. Deron shot decent (not great, but not bad either), so how does he abuse Kidd? If that's the case then didn't Kidd abuse Deron too?

Yes, road games against top teams, particularly back-to-backs, have always served as the litmus test for being a contender.
Let's see how they do against the same teams at home before passing too much judgment.

hahah Dallas and Utah now tied. Dumbass Phoenix and Mavericks for making stupid mid season trades.
