Would Cleveland make the playoffs in the West?

Teams in the West are tougher... play way better defense (besides boston and pistons). Toronto isn't a very strong defensive team, Orlando has lapses, Washington is decent w/ caron but worse than most teams in the west and not very good without caron. Lebron wouldn't average 30+ in the west... that's my opinion though.

East play against themselves more times then west teams go against each other... There are 10 very good teams in the west... only like 4-5 in the East.

tough to tell. lebron wouldn't have been able to sit out all those games so they're record might be better but lebron would have a few more nagging injuries. i think they'd make it over the warriors and the current yao-less rockets.

Oh I'm sorry, most people don't use that in RealGM.

You can never be sure, but I think no. The West is way too tough and has a few different styles going for them in the uptempo style of GSW, Phoenix, and even Dallas. And you've got the more traditional paced style with SA. I just think that even some good West teams have trouble adapting, and I doubt a less talented team like the Cavs(its true) would be able to get it done.

That's the problem with opinions, perceptions and bias can cloud them.

Lebron's averages against Western Conference teams:

29.8 points, 47.4 percent shooting, 7.1 assists, and 7.9 rebounds

No they wouldnt... Not even close.

Even with their East heavy schedule right now, they still wouldnt be a playoff team in the West. Give them a tougher schedule, and they wouldnt stand a chance. They are 5-10 agaisnt Western Conference playoff teams...

It is pretty clear of the answer.

The only teams that would make it are Boston and Detroit, not even sure Orlando makes it.

LeBron is good enough that he can carry a team to an above .500 record team out East.. But in the West, it's not even close, you need more than just one star to make it out West.. Look no further than the biggest star in the league Kobe Bryant.. The guy has been putting up ridiculous numbers out west the past couple of seasons only to have the Lakers narrowly make it and get knocked out the 1st round each time..

And I think this is the biggest factor (or should be) in determining the MVP this season. Kobe has the Lakers not only in the playoffs in the West, but tied for 1st place. LeBron's Cavs in the West wouldnt even be in the playoffs...
