Does Lebron end up greater than Kobe all time.

I'm a Kobe-jocker(admittaly) and I say yes. His numbers and ability... just unbelievable. This "he did it on a sucky team in a sucky conference!" is stupid. Doesn't that speak more of his ability to deliver when his team needs him? His team sucks without him.
I say his ceiling is top 5 all-time.

This is tough... LeBron will definitely have better stats than Kobe... but Kobe has 3 rings, and is in a situation right now where he can add to that...
IMO, it is gonna be a Wilt/Russell situation where one has the better stats, while the other has more rings, and its just personal opinion who you think is better... Both will end up being top 10 players though imo

Why are you putting a ceiling on a 23 year old?

Most likely, barring injuries.

He has the potential to have a greater / better career than Kobe. But the two players have already had such different career paths due to the circumstances they found themselves in upon entering the league so it's hard to compare the two players...

You must have really bad luck because the odds are in your favor. And, don't let the first couple of posts fool you just scroll through a couple of pages and you'll find it.

So he says he has the chance to be the absolute best of all time, and you of all people have a problem with that?

Gonna depend on supporting cast.
He will put up the numbers to be in the conversation against anybody, team success will be what defines his place in history.

He has the possibility to do so. When kobe was lebrons age he wasn't anywhere near lebrons level.

Right now LeBron is the only player who can hope to pass Jordan one day.

that's not what he said - he said a ceiling of top 5 all time. Unless I'm reading it wrong, he's implying he can't be the GOAT when all is said and done.

I just don't understand why Kobe is considered the best basketball player in the world...If you want to call him the best scorer ? Okay, I'm fine with that.. There's a bit more to the game than just scoring...
Look at the stats, look at the defensive stats, and look at the 4th quarter stats and tell me who the best basketball player is...
I don't think it will take much for LBJ to pass Kobe up... I'm pretty sure if LBJ had a prime Shaquille O'neal right now, he, too, could be a 3x Shaqpion... And if LBJ pops off a couple titles here in the next couple of years, I don't think Kobe will even be in the discussion..
It's going to take a couple Kobe-lead championships for him to really separate himself.
