No single one person imo, Tmac, Rafer, Landry, Scola, Battier, even Mutombo have all stepped up their games.

There is no doubt in my mind that Shane Battier is the reason behind this streak. He is a winner, and a fierce competitor that has finally gotten TMac to play ball like in early Orlando days. Shane Battier is an articulate intelligent human being, he is like having a player-coach on the team. Some call his defense overrated, but people more realistic know that he plays great team defense and is a very good spot-up shooter. There is not a team in the NBA that wouldn't love to have Battier in their starting lineup, or at the very worst be the 6th man off the bench playing big minutes.

Alston, teams don't account for him, and he's hot. Once teams properly scout them though, they'll come down to earth.

I'd have to say Rasho Uscareabitch is the reason for the winning streak

Luis Scola. The guy does all the little things on the court to help your team win.

He reminds me of a player we used to have named Bobby Jones.

The entire team. The Rockets are the poster child for chemistry. This is a team where everyone knows and accepts their roles. Its really as simple as that I guess. I guess you can credit Adelman for that. His teams have always had good chemistry.

And for that poster that said Battier got McGrady to play like he did in Orlando. I can tell you don't watch the Rockets. McGrady still cruises through games...he shows up a) when we are in trouble. b) when he knows its a big game. His two best performances during the streak have been against NO and Dallas. Both games on the road...both games were against good teams.

I watch most of the games, but missed tonight's that was on national TV to be honest because I knew it was an easy win, but McGrady has turned it on recently, not really through scoring, but actually almost being a team player and making his teammates better. I was just trying to make a case for Shane Battier because I feel people don't realize how good of a teammate he is and that winning basketball follows him. It isn't a coincidence that the year Memphis traded him, they began to suck ass again (don't give me some bs about Gasol's broken foot, they sucked this year with Gasol).

Everybody knows their role and that's helped the team chemistry, Team chemistry was a major factor.

Nobody is doubting Battier. Great defensive player...good shooter. Good leader etc. But I just wouldn't credit him with something he hasn't done which is motivate McGrady. McGrady is still McGrady. Not the dominant scorer he use to be but a good one that doesn't bring his A game every night.

McGrady makes his teammates better if by that you mean gets them open looks for 3s and touches around the basket. Thats what he does..he did it last year..the year before and the year before that. I don't think Battier has anything to do with McGrady's play is what I am trying to say. Battier is a big part of the team and his impact is tremendous. I just don't see how he gets credit for helping McGrady in any way other than taking the opponents best perimeter player so Mac doesn't have to.

Its a combined effort. We're really good on D and hustle. And Adelman knows how to use the players in his system and adapt through injuries.

I personally like Rafer, Mac, and Landry. And Iggy's right, Tmac has coasted through some games and usually defers to his teammates, and he turns it on and off during the 2nd half of games. However he was outstanding against Mavs. And he's facilitating more after yao's injury.

I voted Scola. This guy is a Spur type player, which is why he was drafted there. This guy just has all the intangibles of a solid NBA player.

Everybody on the list. The entire team is blossoming at the right time.

Being out in the very competitive West, the Rockets current winning streak is nothing short of remarkable.

Its pretty much everyone. Scola, Landry, Alston stand out the most. But Tmac is Tmac, Battier has always been a glue guy. But even Chuck Hayes and Luther Head have their moments.

It's a team effort and the credit would have to go to the coach. The team brought into his system and thats when the offense started flowing. They've always been a good defensive team but it wasn't until Rich Adelman's arrival when they finally learned how to score as a team.
