Uh how much adversity you want to throw at them? Kill the coach? Get real.

This thread fails spectacularly.

And it isn't the OP's fault.

McGrady is a role-player.

McGrady is a better B-player then a A-player, he doesn't make his teammates better.

He is a more vocal leader. But he is still a guy that only shows up for big games. Like he showed up for Dallas and NO...those are good teams. I would be very surprised if he showed up for Nets. I dunno if you can lead effectively if you don't bring your A game every night. Still McGrady has developed into a much better leader than he was in years past.

Did you see what he did tonight? He wrecked NO early on and then down the stretch.

41 points, 9 asst, 6 reb, 2 blk, 65% FG

Oh and he played all 48 minutes.

The thing with T-Mac that I see is, that he can probably lead the Rockets to the best record in the regular season, the rest of the way. But, it will not make much of a difference if he can't fare successful in the post-season.

He NEEDS to advance past the 1st round for any of this to make much of a difference.....

Like has been said, T-Mac was doing similar with Yao out last year, but he came up short in the playoffs. Expectations are lower this year, because Yao won't be around again this time. But with T-Mac specifically, this play by him won't mean too much if he doesn't get it done in the playoffs again.

I'd want to face Phoenix or Denver if I was Houston.

He was still the leader of that team in the first round.

He also led the team to a sweep in the second round in 04/05 with Shaq missing the road games.

But whatever, to say Wade and Kobe can't get out of the first round without Shaq is ridiculous, but these statements implying that TMac's a choker are ridiculous as well.

Well the Rockets now own the #3 seed in the conference, so I feel it is becoming more and more likely that they will have homecourt in the playoffs. They should win their next 3 (21 game win streak) at the very least before they finally have a tough stretch.

With homecourt, it is very possible that Houston can knock off a team in the 1st round. Especially considering how well McGrady is playing right now. He is playing at a level higher than anyone not named Kobe or Lebron in the past week and a half. If he can keep it up (god knows TMac wants to get out of the 1st round BADLY) they absolutely have a chance.

Tracy has made his own bed iwth how he is perceived. I remember when he played in Orlando. He was asked what does Kobe have that he wish to have. He said Desire. I was shocked.

Tracy has always taken the game of basketball for granted. It came so easy for him that he never appreciated it. Tracy seemed more excited about the sport of baseball than the one that was making him so rich.

Watching games Tracy still seems like a sleep walker. Im not convinced Tracy deserves the credit for there winning streak. Them adding a winner like Scola IMO has been huge for that team.
