Who comes out the best after winning 08 Lottery?

Not sure if this has been asked yet, or if it should be in the draft section or not. Curious who everyone thinks would be the most dangerous team, now and for the future, if they were to win the draft lottery, with standings as of now. Just guessing on what they could take.

Miami: A combo next year of Beasley, Wade, and Marion? Or backcourt of Rose and Wade?

Minnesota: Building around either Brewer, Foye, Jefferson, and Beasley, or Brewer, Foye, Rose, and Jefferson?

Memphis: Beasley, Conley, and Gay?

Seattle: Durant, Beasley, and Green? Durant, Rose, and Green?

New York: Rose. Beasley.

Clippers: Rose, Brand, Maggette, Kaman. Or, Beasley, Maggette, and Kaman, and whatever they could get in return for Brand.

Milwaukee: Beasley, Bogut, Redd, Williams, Yi? Rose, Redd, Bogut, Yi?

Charlotte: Rose, Richardson, Wallace, Okafor? Beasley, Okafor, Richardson, Wallace?

Indiana: Rose, Granger, O'Neal. Beasley, Granger, O'Neal?

Phoenix: Nash, Barbosa, Beasley, Amare? Rose as the successor to Nash?

Chicago: Beasley, Noah, Thomas, Deng, Gordon, Hinrich, Thabo?

Sacramento: Udrih, Marttin, Artest, Beasley, Hawes? Rose, Martin, Artest, Hawes?

Portland: Rose, Roy, Aldridge, Oden, Rudy, Outlaw, Webster?

Denver: Rose, AI, Melo, Nene, Camby, Martin, Kleiza?

Thoughts? And sorry if I left players out from the list on your team. Just throwing some names out there.

Portland winning a top 2 slot would be majorly unfair. Add Rose or Beasley to Oden, LMA, Roy, Fernandez, and whatever SF/PG they can get for a combination Frye/Jack/Sergio/Future 1st/Webster/Outlaw package? Crazy.

Miami is obviously the most likely to improve, just because they're playing in the East, and tanking hard right now. You figure a healthy Wade and two great combo forwards in Marion and Beasley should get them a playoff birth next year with Banks, Blount, Haslem and Ricky Davis.

Miami would be the most improved. Portland would be the most dangerous.

Phoenix doesn't have a 2008 1st. It went to the Sonics in the Kurt Thomas deal.

And isn't it top 1 protected? Or did all protection fall off?

Phoenix has Atlanta's first rounder.

Surely Portland or Denver don't get the pick. Surely not.

Would be nice to see Memphis get it; they sure as hell need a guy like Beasley.

The Clippers could do with a long-term PG prospect in Rose.

Both 1sts they sent were unprotected.

True. I guess I assumed Atlanta would make the playoffs and Phoenix wouldn't. Wishful thinking, I suppose.

It's got to be Miami, Pat Riley has way too much pride for that team to be terrible again next year.

Long-term it's Portland, short-term it's whoever finished 9th in the West. If you add Rose to Denver that team will be ridiculously talented, and they'll be able to play Iverson off the ball. But even in that scenario they probably wouldn't jump to any higher then 5th in the West, while adding Rose to Portland's young foundation could equal championships down the road. So I'd say Portland would come out the best.

Portland down the future, if they add Beasley to complement Roy, Aldridge, and Oden.. they'd be impossible.. Not even in the late future either, right now. All 4 of those guys will be on rookie contracts, allowing them to add some other guys around them too. Roy and Aldridge are playing $10-$15 million dollar per year level basketball for $3-$4 million a year. That's insane.
