A reasonable estimate of 19 ppg over 80 games (1520 points) puts him 6.5 seasons short of 30,000. There's still 20 games left in this season though, so let's be generous and say he's 6 seasons away.
I don't think its terribly likely he averages 19 a game for six more full seasons. I think it's likely he misses time here and there (everyone does, especially as they age). I also see him lowering his scoring as he gets older. He is actually slightly under 19 per game now. He's clearly still capable of scoring more, and will be for a few more years. But the inclination really isn't there. Even when he was looking to score more, he only topped 23 a game twice, with a high of 24.2.
I'd say no. It's POSSIBLE he could play another 8-10 years, which would make it much more feasible. Even so, as of now he'd need six more full seasons scoring at his current rate or eight full seasons averaging 15 ppg. I think it's unlikely.

If he was still on the timberwolves then he probably could. Playing with the Celtics he isnt the main scorer and would take him much longer since he is getting older. I say no.

Of course, but it's all going to depend on his health, as with any player, of course....

Garnett has to pass 20,000 before he can consider 30,000. He's currently at 19,993 points.

Out of all the players in the NBA, if there was one player I would put my money on for "Player least likely to lose his love for the game" it would be KG. I don't see KG ever losing that love to play basketball, but that doesn't mean he won't miss games due to injury and such. However, I can see KG playing til 40 like Mutumbo with a reduced role in his later years. I believe he will retire when his body just can't do it anymore.

Do only regular season points count for this, or do PO points count too?

I think Garnett can reach 30,000 before his career is over, but it will depend mainly on his health. If he can stay injury free for at least a few more years, he will at least get close to the 30,000 mark.

but come on man its not his game. KG is a willing passer,
a GREAT team player and loves to win, KG Is One of a Kind.
scoring is not his game, And That's a Compliment.

Yeah I know that KG isn't a greedy player or a ball hog, but he still gets his points, and I think if he can keep his scoring rate somewhere close to where it is now, then he has a good chance to get close to 30,000 if he stays healthy and motivated.
