Chris Paul: I wish I can be half as good as Rafer Alston
"They interviwed Chris Paul after the game and he was dissing Rafer. Apparently Rafer, Paul and Chandler were going at it before and during the game. Chandler and Rafer got into it in New Orleans when they both got a technical and it carried over to this game. There were a lot of heated exchanges and verbal jousting going on. It will be fun to hear what Rafer has to say."
I'm a huge Chris Paul fan but I thought this was really unecessary. Using sarcasm to insult the opposing point guard after your team loses...Everyone in the world knows you're better than Rafer, don't need to rub it in his face like that...I guess he's just frustrated that Houston blew them out the last two meetings and the later one w/o Yao. I expect better from you CP3.

And? Rafer had the balls to approach them like a superstar, but he's really nothing more than a glorified journeyman point guard. Paul's remarks were in poor taste. Does that matter? No. They're grown men.

I hope this motivates rafer even more and he continues his recent HOT streak.

Rafer is a bum. he's always been and will be. when we're talking about being a basketball player. Chris Paul is a God compared to Rafer. Paul can say whatever he wants.

I'm sure you'd be singing a different tune if he said that about your boy Calderon.

No wonder CP3 was so motivated tonite. I do remember one exchange where CP3 went coast to coast to score on a 1 on 5 fast break and Rafer went and did the same thing on Houston's next possession.

Man its just playoff heat talk. Players now mean business and are holding grudges now that every game out west means something.

Alston has been playing good in March, but only in 3 games. The previous month his stats were ordinary. If anyone can take credit for this streak, it isn't Rafer Alston.

Surprised Paul didn't just punch him in the balls when Rafer wasn't looking.

it never looks good when you attack a player after a loss.

he really kinda does. I mean he is great, and that is really the only reason he can get away with his attitude. though that can be said of basically any, and every star with an attitude in any sport ever.

And Paul would **** him up one-on-one. Why does it matter?

Rafer tries to undercut, trip, and cheap shot Tyson every game. He also never stops running his mouth at our players, and they need to separate them every game. I wish someone would punch him

Its in good fun. I wish players did this more. Were such in a politically correct error that players always act like they love each other. If Chris Paul and Deron Williams had something like this going on then the next Utah NO game would be nationally televised with double the ratings. I miss the days of MJ calling out guys before games then putting 50 on them after. Remember when Zo had the hard foul on Pippen and the Bulls wouldn't even acknowledge Zo was playing in the game the next day.

This stuff started in the last Rockets-Hornets game in New Orleans. Chandler had a hard foul on someone, can't remember who (Yao?), and Rafer took exception to it and some strong words were exchanged. They got double technicals. Then the Rockets were like, "screw you guys", decided to make the game physical and blew them out of the building.
So Paul and Chandler come into Toyota Center still carrying a grudge, and apparently there were some more words exchanged pre-game. All through the game there was some obvious back-and-forth going on between Alston and Rafer. Both got into uncharacteristic foul trouble early. Paul hit a couple of threes in Rafer's face and each time Rafer returned the favor at the other end. There was even a fast break layup by Paul that was immediately answered by another fast break layup by Rafer. Paul did his best to try and single-handedly take the game over in the 2nd half, but unfortunately for him whatever he did was outdone by T-Mac at the other end.
Then he decides to lose all respect for himself and hurl insults at Rafer on the post-game interview.
Classless little idiot.
