I consider Tony Parker a pure point guard because he only scores in transition. In half court, he really doesn

There shouldn't be any statistical or height criteria for something that basically boils down to the role a player has on the team. I don't view Gilbert Arenas as a point guard because he looks for his shot most of the time, and brags about his scoring exploits. He's a shooting guard playing out of position.

You need to brush up on your knowledge if you don't think Arenas makes his team and teammates better.

He makes his team mates better in that, he requires a lot of attention as he is an extremely talented scorer.
But as in running the offense and moving the ball accordingly and making plays... he is "okay" at it. Again most of the times he gets an assists its because the attention/defense was focused on him...
as opposed to Paul, Nash, Williams etc, these players... they are the director of the offense... and as shown when needed, they are THE offense sometimes.
