Defensive Player Of The Year

Post#1 » by Rox_Nix_Nox » Thu Mar 13, 2008 2:52 am

So we know the MVP is down between Kobe, Lebron, CP3, and Garnett. I wanted to know who's going to be the defensive player of the year? I think it's wide open this year.

My vote is Kobe because he's the only one that the media has actually talked about his defense. Garnett is also well deserving.

Your thoughts?

My vote would go to Garnett. He anchors the league's best defensive team, his floor time stats are excellent, and opposing players have poor games against him.

KG or Kobe.

I'd go with Kobe cause the Lakers defense is atrocious when he's not on the floor.

Kobe is not going to be the defensive player of the year. Do you guys know how good other people are compared to Kobe on defense? Kobe might get MVP, but he's far from Defensive player of the year. That's just crazy to put Kobe in the top 3 in this award.

um ok. How about you present your evidence about other players defense and then I present my evidence about Kobe's defense and see which one is more persuasive. Deal? GO!

Camby's defense hasn't rubbed off on everyone else though. KG has set a defensive tone that the rest of his squad has adopted.

For that, he is my DPOY.

Honestly I think Camby sucks as a defender if you honestly think he is a DPOY type player.... There are times that he isn't even the best defender on the floor.

You can look it up. I guarantee you Kobe will not win MVP and Defensive player of the year the same year. That's just crazy, look at some of the other people in NBA who just concentrated on defense.
