a question that has bugged me for a long long time now
although the charlotte hornets were a solid team during the early 2000s, they still couldnt sell even 75 percent of there tickets even when they went deep into the playoffs. This might be easy to answer but i dont live in the Carolina area...so I dont/didnt know the situation.

We still won more games than the 72 dolphins.....

Point 1 : Why has this been bugging you for a long long time? Its the bobcats from 8 years ago

Point 2 : Not sure what the question is. The way you stated it makes it hard to identify what you actually want to know.

I think he is touching on a huge flaw in the NBA and that is small market's inability to support NEW franchises. The NBA works in Portland, Sac or SA because of long histories. But put a team into Memphis, Charlotte, NO etc and they have no chance. Much as the team that winds up in OKC will be a failure.

howcome the hornets couldnt sell tickets when they were elite???????????? most often....even the worst sports town (Florida Marlins anyone) attract bandwagoners when the teams are good and in the playoffs. The hornets in the playoffs were still half empty arenas even though they had solid teams.
happy now

LOL ok now i get it.
To be honest i have no idea. It weired considering N.C is such a basketball state. Maybe because a vast majority of NC basketball fans tend to support college bball (you know because of UNC, Duke.)
