Players your coach loves, but you don't

Post#1 » by breaker91 » Thu Mar 13, 2008 4:12 pm

It seems every team has one or two of them. Guys coaches love because they are scrappy and play hard. But these are the guys who drive fans crazy because we can't see how the coach can justify the minutes they are being given because they are mistake prone or are taking away minutes from some with more upside.

For Portland that guy is Jarret Jack. He gets his minutes because he is aggressive, but it is more than offset by his inability to run the fast break and his penchant for TOs.

Who are those types of players on your team's roster?

Phil Jackson likes Luke Walton. Luke sucks bad on both ends. I guess that'll be fixed once Ariza comes back.

A large majority of Jazz fans in these boards will mention Matt Harpring.

Devean George makes me cringe everytime he gets subbed in. He plays 15 mpg for a grand 4 points on .360 shooting.

When did Adelman love Gerald Green? Hell, when did he seem to love Mike James? I would say the fans were in love with these guys but Adelman made it clear how he felt about them with limited playing time and then both of them getting axed.

You think Sam Mitchell loves Bargnani? You must be on something.

I'd probably say Jamario Moon or Carlos Delfino.

For the Nets it used to be Jason Collins, now it might be Trenton Hassell. For whatever reason Frank loves to play him at the 4 spot.

^ Co-signed ^

I never really hated Collins though Hassell is pissing me off though there is no reason why he should be playing power forward...

Nate McMillan has a man crush on Jarrett Jack. When other players like Sergio Rodriguez make a mistake he yanks them immediately, but lets Jack stay in and continue to mess up.
