it's hard to tell with the spurs. about a month ago, they looked to be in a bit of trouble. THey had lost a few games, parker went out - it looked like they were set up for a bit of a drop, instead they went on a tear and surged to 1st in the west. Then it looked like perhaps they could get a little seperation from the pack and instead they drop 5 of 6.

It was certainly a tough part of their schedule, but I don't think anyone thought they'd go 1-5 heading into the boston game monday. Perhaps they are guilty of coasting a bit ahead of what will certainly be a tough playoffs or perhaps it's a sign of trouble ahead.

They always look crappy some point during the season. You think people would learn after like 4 titles that in the playoffs anything is possible.

They are still one of the few teams that can win it all.

When you have Duncan, Poppovich and proven role players and stars like Ginobili and Parker with the defense that they play, especially knowing how much everybody steps up their game in the playoffs, they have as good a chance as anybody.

I'd NEVER doubt a Tim Duncan led team.

Tough to call.

It's a very close Western Conference, so it means they could be a 1st round casualty - no sarcasm - or they could go all the way.

20%

It comes down to 5 teams in my book:

Lakers
Celtics
Spurs
Jazz
Detroit

Therefore, Spurs are at 20%.

even Spurs fans don't know..at least I don't..like lj4MVP said, it's difficult..they won 11 in a row just a few weeks ago, and I expected a surge for the rest of the season, but now we're losing again..there isn't another team in the West that scares me though, so that's the positive for me..everyone is good, but nobody stands out to me..

wouldn't surprise me to win next year though(not counting out this year anyways)..in the off-season coming up we have about 5 expiring contracts that are all old players so we can sign some young talent, and Splitter joins the team..going into an odd year, what a coincidence..

I think 25-30% which I'd probably give higher than any other team......

except all of those teams dont have equal chances.. if you really believe that, then ok. Somehow I doubt that Jazz/Pistons have just as good a shot as the first 3 teams you mentioned.
