Has anyone else noticed the Sixers?

15-4 in their last 19 games with wins against Orlando, Detroit, San Antonio, Phoenix and Dallas. The losses coming against Boston, Golden State, Orlando and Minnesota.

This team has a chance to move up the standings, though the rest of their schedule includes some tough ones.

Given that they can finish anywhere from 5th to 7th in the East, who do you think they can or cannot upset in the playoffs?

I think:
Detroit: no
Orlando: perhaps
Cleveland: yes

I'm not saying an upset will happen, but these Sixers are clicking together as a team and are probably alot better than some people think.

I knew they were on a run, but no, I did not realize they were 15-4 in their last 19 games.

Philly looks to give anyone they play in the postseason a run for their money.

Sixers are underrated going into the playoffs. They could make some noise.

I haven't been able to catch them in action, but I've been shocked checking the boxscores and seeing them defeating the Spurs, Suns etc.

As a Magic fan I'm wondering who i'd rather face, the Wizards or the Sixers, (or the Raptors if they continue to slip). Wizards if healthy are deadly, but they'll be rusty after all the injuries, especially if Arenas comes back and messes up the chemistry. But if they click right away they could be trouble. And Philly is red hot right now and if they keep it up going into the playoffs they'll have a lot of momentum and could be trouble as well.

The only thing that would make me think Philly would fall out of the first round is experience. Outside of Miller and Dalembert the team is pretty inexperienced in the playoffs if i'm not mistaken.

They might be able to upset ORL. Miller is a big PG and will have his way with weaker ORL PGs. Andre is already on 17 ppg on 50% and a 2.5 to 1 ass/turn ratio. They need him to be a star to win.

Then you have D-12 as the only shot blocker. PHIL relies on fastbreak points and getting to the line. PHIL has no shooters, so if by some way Iggy is able to get D-12 in foul trouble... then they have a shot. they also need all-time effort from their bigs Evans,Dally to get almost all of the offensive rebounds with the misses PHIL is going to be putting up in the playoffs agaisnt zone.

CLE has too many big men that can block in a zone setting [Ben Wallace, Big Z] and box out for the inevitable misses that PHIL will be putting up agaisnt a half court zone...

Okay maybe not, I don't see them upseting anyone....

X-Factor could be Rodney Carney, who provided some much needed outside scoring in the last three games. If he can consistantly knock a few down and the main guys know their roles , then look out.

we are beating Orlando if we play them and god help Cleveland or Toronto if we run into them. Well take Detroit to 5 or 6 but Boston will murder us.

We run teams ragged they underestimate us and we will continue to be underestimated because we don't have a legit number 1 option but we are playing the right way and we are playing tenacious defense.

Yeah, they are definitley extremely under the radar. If they get the 6th seed and the Magic get the third I think they could give the Magic a run for their money.

Does this recent success have anything to do with Thaddeus Young?

I think he has been playing well for longer than their streak. I think its more Andre Miller taking control of games and shooting well.
