Finally some information on why he's on no one's radar, and it's what most suspected; it's his work ethic.

"I think he has a chance to be a very good player in our league, but he has to mature," Rivers said. "Before you can take the next step, you have to understand you need the work and you need to do the work. Gerald does it, just not as consistently as coaches would like him to do."

I hope he learns something from this and comes back a better player, maybe he needs a year in Europe or two, hopefully this is not the last we hear of Gerald Green, what a waste of talent and ability. The Celtic fan in me is glad we moved on when we did.

yeah, he probably would work in that case. He can hit the 3 for sure, last year he was doing that real well. Don't know if his conditioning is good enough though, for running with the Warriors.

I can't speak for what Green did in Boston, but "lack of work ethic" is not something that was seen in Minnesota.

I wish Gerald Green can go back to an NBA team. He has a lot of talent, he just needs to know how to use it. He should have like a training day with a superstar of the NBA. I think from that one day he would learn alot.

he'll find a spot. he's too athletic and young to be gone from the nba forever.

Pietrus wants to CASH in at years end and it's a known FACT that the Warriors will not re-sign him, if he wants big bucks. All the money is going to Monta and Biedrins...

Green is younger than MP2 and can do everything that MP2 can at a CHEAPER rate. Given is age and natural abilities, he can flourish and perhaphs become BETTER than MP2 one day.

im gonna go the other way with this, the dude is just out of high school. when with the celtics, he was made the focal point and he was on a terrible team. that is idiotic. i give rivers credit when given talent. but those type of guys you sit the bench and bring him up slowly. for example, phil jackson sticks a kid on the bench for a loooong time. doesnt even see the floor. i dont believe he was given that type of time at all.

I suspect there is more to the story then work ethic. Teams just don't throw away potential these days for no reason, they are usually quite willing to shelter a developing player. There must be something else going on that they don't want him around their team.
