Lets say these 2 teams have played 25 games with each other (gives enough time to gell) and are in the Finals:

Who Wins in a 7 Game NBA Finals Series? PROVIDED All Players are Healthy

I didn't want to put any bench players because IMO that would create a disparity between the rosters, but lets just assume, the players were able to duel it out for 48+ minutes each game while having enough energy.

East Starters:

PG:Chauncey Billups
SG: D-Wade
SF: Lebron James
PF: Kevin Garnett
C: Dwight Howard

West Starters:

PG: Chris Paul
SG: Kobe Bryant
SF: Carmelo Anthony
PF: Tim Duncan
C: Yao Ming

If Tmac plays instead of Carmelo the West wins in 7, if it's Carmelo who starts the East wins in 6.

Man, Rockets fans are getting big heads as of late...
Hey T-Mac didnt make the All Star game..As good as he is he didnt make it. Get over it.

I dont think Tim Duncan would let the Eastern All Star team out of hand. But KG could do damage. So could Dwight. But west has better guards so they win in 6-7 games

The West easily have the two best players of the respective teams and arguably three considering on how you rate Paul. They'd pull it out in around 6-7 games IMO.

If T-Mac started the West would lose. Otherwise the West wins.

Chris Paul isn't an all-star starter, AI is. Thus the East would win.

That's not what my Starting 5 are questioning!

Plus AI would kill the chemistry!

why is anyone picking against a team with Kobe, and a Duncan Yao frontcourt?

I'm not saying I'd guarantee an East win, but if you're wondering why it's possible:

1) Chauncey can post Paul all day, and CP3 isn't tall enough to bother Billup's 3's.
2) Wade gets to the paint on everyone, and Duncan and (especially) Yao's strengths are not quick defensive adjustments.
3) No one can stop LeBron from getting to the rack either.
4) KG and Dwight would have a rebounding advantage over the older Timmy and slower Yao.

There's probably just as good a list of reasons why the West would win, but I'd put my cash on the East. Top tier talent isn't the East's weakness... it's everything else.

Because the other team has Lebron and a KG/Howard frontcourt....

Personally I don't think Duncan and Yao would mesh all that well.

West players are all very good defenders

East have Wade and Lebron as average at best defenders.

Melo is a very good defender? LeBron is better than an average defender. Both teams have good defenders except for one player, Wade and Melo.

Thanks for Richard Jefferson by the way, that was another one of those great draft day moves by the Rockets, it ranks right up their with the brilliant Rudy Gay trade

In all seriousness though, I like the Rockets I just think that some fans have let this winning streak go to their heads.
