Responding to claims that his team tanked it down the stretch in recent years to improve draft position, Timberwolves owner Glen Taylor fired a barb at Kevin Garnett on Tuesday, as reported by Yaho.com.
Taylor pointed out that Garnett, who was traded to the Celtics this offseason, took himself out of the lineup late last season and missed the last five games with a sore right quadriceps.Dwight Howard on his FT struggles:"I just think everybody needs to stop talking about it," Howard said. "There's more to life than free throws."

I love it. Years and years on hearing about the honorable KG being too loyal to demand a trade from Minny. Give me a break. And everyone on this board is going to go wild and insult the Wolves owner but after all the shots KG has taken at the Wolves organization and that classless Wolves Celtics game I'm glad he aired KG's dirty laundry.

from that information, it looks like the team made the decision to tank so that they could keep their protected pick. seems more to me like taylor is looking for a scapegoat.
Two years ago, the team shut down Garnett for the final six games, which ended with center Mark Madsen hitting seven 3-pointers in a double-overtime loss to Memphis that ultimately ensured the Wolves would hold on to their lottery pick.
They traded a first-round to the Clippers in a deal for Marko Jaric, and needed to finish with a lottery pick in the top 10 to ensure they kept it. Minnesota lost four of its last five to ensure that happened.

of coarse not, he's only getting payed 20 million/year to play a game and be a role model
I agree with you 100%.
You and I aren't millionaire bball players, though. They have a completely different way of thinking.
