that Boston is the best team in the league? b2b wins in san antonio and houston, they have the best record, best D, and are poised for a takedown shimmey style

I still doubt they win the championship, but they are definitely the best team in the regular season.

Any team that can get W's on a back to back in Texas has the right to say that they are the best team in the league at that point in time.

the celtics' level play is rivaled by no one. the rest of the league isn't at their level. spurs, lakers, pistons, hornets...not at the celtics level.

Count me in.

Come back from 22 down to beat the defending champions, then roll a team on the second-longest win streak in NBA history the very next night, all on the road. That is a statement.

The fact that it was won not only to two Texas teams like you said, but the first team is the defending champs, and the second team is the hottest team in 2+ years.

 @ OP already claiming the victory on the Rockets and the game is still on. Celtics won anyway.

they have looked like the best team all season.

there are really only 2 teams i would consider knocking them in a 7-game series, and that is the spurs, or a fully-healthy lakers squad.

and the thing about both is that the celtics won't have to face either until the nba finals.

There are certain games where the look vulnerable, and in a 7 game series nothing of a given, I think they will have a really hard time with the Pistons in the East over 7 games because the Pistons have pretty much seen it all.

But yes, right now they are the tops.

As always..

Yes, they are the best. Lakers with Kobe-Bynum-Gasol will be a great challenge for them, next year.

Easily top team. It's all about their defence. In a seven game series, it'd be close to impossible to beat them.

I agree. I didin't and never did believe that we(Lakers) would beat them even if we have Bynum and Gasol.

You can make the argument that that the Celtics are the best team in the NBA but you can make that argument for a few other teams as well.

I think Boston has proven they are the best team atm... I'm still pumped for a possible Laker vs Boston Finals... because Lakers with a healthy full lineup might have the "potential" best team. I say that since a number of key players are injured and after houston loss and laker win over dallas... atm puts them tied on top of the very tough west.
